Senior PRA Engineer | Energy | San Francisco Bay Area, CA (Remote)
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to evaluating, modeling, and managing risk to ensure the safety, reliability, and effectiveness of our systems and operations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of probabilistic risk assessment models and analyses.
- Perform detailed fault tree, event tree, and reliability analysis for complex systems.
- Develop and refine risk metrics to inform decision-making and improve operational outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Review and validate PRA models, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and methodologies.
- Present risk assessment findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of PRA tools and techniques.
Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in probabilistic risk assessment, reliability engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency with PRA tools and software (e.g., SAPHIRE, CAFTA, RiskSpectrum).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to handle complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Experience leading risk assessment projects or teams is highly desirable.
